Oasis mania has grasped Manchester and not really let go since before the Gallagher brothers came home for their much-anticipated Heaton Park shows, and a big part of that, aside from the exhibitions, murals, events and general good vibes, was Manchester’s relatively new Definitely Maybe bar. Hailing from Bolton originally, the Oasis-themed bar only opened in the Northern Quarter last year, but Oasis mania has most definitely (maybe) seen the bar reach its peak, having brought in a year’s takings over the last month alone.
Oasis fans flocked from far and wide for the five huge homecoming gigs at Heaton Park in Manchester between Saturday 11th – Sunday 20th July, and for many the Oasis reunion was a weeks, if not months, long affair. MCR Live ’25 brought the excitement all over the city, businesses adorned their spaces with Gallagher-themed designs, and even public transport got in on the action, but of course, a good old drink and a dance was what most fans relished, whether they were lucky enough to go to the gigs or not.
We must say, Oasis mania should be credited with making Manchester more of a community than it has been for a long time, and Definitely Maybe bar really bolstered the good vibes – and was rightly credited for it. The Gallagher brothers – yes, a pair of Gallaghers own it – seem to credit much of the hustle and bustle to out-of-towners, with fans coming from all over the world.
The lasting legacy of Definitely Maybe bar, though, is felt by local Oasis fans and Northern Quarter-lovers alike. The concept comes from a lifetime of supporting the band, and that really can be seen in every inch of Definitely Maybe, which of course is what fans have responded to.

Definitely Maybe bar put on a proper knees up for weeks throughout the Oasis reunion gigs, hosting pre parties, after parties, live music, special guest DJs and generally great vibes, bringing in the clientele and takings consistently throughout. The bar also boasts some pretty fancy features, including one of Noel’s signed guitars and a pair of Liam’s maracas both framed on the wall, making the space feel truly blessed by the Gallagher brothers.
Far from a gimmick, Definitely Maybe is a tribute to the lasting and unavoidable mark Oasis have left on Manchester, and though Liam and Noel surely won’t be back in town for a while, if ever, the love of Oasis mania remains strong in this bolthole within the iconic Afflecks building. Big things are coming for this future stalwart.
