The rest of the homecoming gigs are set to be beyond iconic. Oasis will be playing not one, not two, but five huge concerts at Heaton Park, and we’ve got the ultimate guide to everything you need to know if you’re lucky enough to be attending.

What time do the Heaton Park gates open for Oasis?
Heaton Park gates will open at 3pm for Oasis’ Manchester gigs, with the music curfew being 10:30pm.
Who is supporting Oasis at Heaton Park?
In an all-Britpop line-up, Wigan‘s own The Verve front man Richard Ashcroft and Cast will be the supporting acts for Oasis at Heaton Park, ensuring the vibe is set ready for the headliners.
Cast will kick things off at around 6pm, and Richard Ashcroft is taking to the stage at 7pm.

How to get to (and from) Heaton Park for the Oasis gigs
As you’d expect, there’s set to be carnage on the roads around Heaton Park on Oasis gig days, so your best course of action will be public transport.
Tram
Each Oasis gig night, there will be a six-minute tram service from Victoria Station to Bury. Victoria Station is the only city centre station with a direct tram to Heaton Park, but you can change from other lines.
Heaton Park stop will be closed at 9pm on all nights, with Bowker Vale the main stop for post event travel to the city centre and to Bury. Both stops are just a few minutes away from the park gates, and there will be staff and signs to help you on your way.
Manchester Metrolink is confirmed to be running a late-night tram service for those needing to get around after the Oasis concerts. The last trams will be as follows:
- Friday 11th July – 02:02am towards city centre/01:16am towards Bury
- Saturday 12th July – 02:02am towards city centre/01:16am towards Bury
- Wednesday 16th July – 01:32am towards city centre/00:46am towards Bury
- Saturday 19th July – 02:02am towards city centre/01:16am towards Bury
- Sunday 20th July – 01:30am towards city centre/00:44am towards Bury

Shuttle Bus
Limited shuttle bus tickets are available for £10 on the Bee Network app. Shuttle buses will run from Lever Street in the Northern Quarter, Manchester direct to Heaton Park.
Public Bus
Most public buses will be diverted in order to avoid congestion around Heaton Park on gig days, but if you opt for one of these, you can get off at the nearest stop and walk from there.
The following bus services will be diverted from 6pm until the end of service on the event days:
- 41: Will divert from Rochdale Road, Middleton Old Road, Old Market Street, Mill Brow, Delaunays Road and Crumpsall Way The service will rejoin the usual route at N.M.G.H.
- 59: Will divert from the last stop on Waterloo Road/Cheetham Hill Road and then will not call at stops in Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall, Heaton Park and Rhodes. The service will rejoin the usual route at Middleton Bus station.
- 135: Will not call at a number of stops in Cheetham Hill, Bury Old Road, Prestwich and Heaton Park. The service will rejoin the usual route on Bury New Road in Whitfield.
- 156: Will divert from Middleton Bus station, Manchester New Road, Rochdale Road, Middleton Old Road, Old Market Street and Mill Brow.
The following bus services will be diverted from 10am until the end of service on event days:
- 66: Will divert from Hilton Lane and not call at stops on Scholes Lane, Bury Old Road, Heaton Park and Whittaker Lane.
- 90: Will divert via Heywood Road.
- 94: Will divert via Leicester Road, Great Cheetham Street East and Bury New Road.

Walk
If you’re looking to cut out all travel headaches, you might want to walk to or from Heaton Park for the Oasis gigs. You can find the recommended walking route here, which takes you simply down Bury Old Road and Cheetham Hill Road, all the way into Shudehill – the walk takes around 1.5 hours, but often is the simplest mode of transport.

Drive
If you must drive, there is no official pick up and drop off point, or on-site parking, so you may have to leave you car or be dropped off a fair distance away. You should also be aware of road closures in the area to ease congestion:
From 12pm until 8pm, the following roads will be closed with diversions in place:
- Spear St. from the Jct. of Warwick St. to its Jct. with Stephenson Sq.
- Warwick St. from the Jct. of Oldham St. to its Jct. with Lever St.
- Lever St. from the Jct. of Dale St. to its Jct. with Warwick St.
- Faraday St. from the Jct. of Spear St. to its Jct. with Little Lever St.
- Hilton St. from the Jct. Oldham St. to its Jct. with Spear St.
- Bunsen St. from the Jct, with Lever St. to the Jct. with Little Lever St.
- Bradley St. from the Jct. with Houldsworth St. to the Jct. with Warwick St.
From 9.30pm up until 1am, there will be road closures in place to protect the safety of pedestrians. The following roads will be closed:
- St. Margarets Rd. – Closed in both directions – Junction Heywood Rd. to its junction with Bury Old Rd.
- Scholes Ln. Both directions – Junction of Heywood Rd. to its junction with Bury Old Rd including the junction of Blackley New Road
- Sheepfoot Ln. both directions – junction of Bury Old Rd. to its junction with Middleton Rd.
- Mead Hill Rd. – both directions – junction of Sheepfoot Ln. to its junction with Middleton Rd.
- Middleton Rd. both directions – junction of Victoria Ave. to its junction with Bury Old Rd. including the junction with Blackley New Rd.
- Blackley New Rd. both directions – junction of Middleton Rd. to its junction with Riverdale Rd.
- Heaton Park Rd. West. Both directions – junction of Middleton Rd. through the internal road to the Supermarket
- Bury Old Road & Middleton Road/Leicester Road, Oakwell Drive. Appropriate side road access Singleton Road
If you need a taxi, many companies will be operating on the day, but with road closures in place, this isn’t recommended close to the park. Some companies are citing The Wilton Arms just before the big roundabout/Sainsbury’s at Heaton Park as a pick up point, but further afield may be your best bet – be sure to book ahead and agree a pick up point.

What is the weather looking like for the Oasis gigs at Heaton Park?
That’s the big question! Obviously the forecast is subject to change, but here’s what you can expect on each gig day:
Saturday 19th July
OK, there’s good news and bad news. Bad news: here comes the rain. Thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday in Manchester, with temperatures at about 19°C-20°C for most of the day. The good news is, the sun’s back out from around 5pm – of course, some sunshiiiine seeing crowds into the night, when no more rain is likely after 9pm. Nevertheless, get your welly boots and parkas out, because that ground is going to be pretty treachorous.
Sunday 20th July
Oasis’ final reunion gig is set to go out on a slightly better note. Clouds and sun will dominate the day, with a 90% chance of rain, and Sunday will still be warm – with no rain forecast after 4pm. By 10pm, Heaton Park is set to be pretty clear, at a pleasant 18°C, with a 100% chance of wholesome vibes.
