We love a taste of America here in Manchester, what with the likes of American Pies, Popeyes and Crabbish dominating our food scene. Now, Shake Shack, the global burger brand from New York, is coming to Manchester, marking its first Shack in the North of England.
What to expect at Shake Shack Manchester
Guests can look forward to enjoying all the Shack favourites, including the ShackBurger®, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Flat-Top Dogs, and hand-spun shakes. Shake Shack is proud to bring its signature blend of flavour, hospitality, and community spirit to the vibrant north.
Shake Shack serves elevated versions of American classics using only the best ingredients. It’s known for its delicious made-to-order Aberdeen Angus beef burgers, signature potato buns made with Wildfarmed’s regeneratively farmed flour, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades, beer, wine, and more.
Since the original Shack opened in 2004 in NYC’s Madison Square Park, the company has expanded to over 640 locations system-wide.
When will Shake Shack Manchester open?
The new restaurant will open in March 2026 at the Trafford Centre, inviting Mancunians and visitors to indulge in Shake Shack’s iconic menu.
Ahead of the opening, a specially commissioned artist hoarding by local illustrator Jessica Lee will go up in December 2025. Jessica’s playful and vibrant illustrations capture the energy, creativity, and multicultural spirit of Manchester, blending the city’s music culture with whimsical Shake Shack elements — a fun visual taste of what’s to come.
