Popeyes UK, famed for its Louisiana fried chicken, is bringing another taste of its signature New Orleans flavours to Manchester city centre. Opening a new restaurant in Manchester Arndale, it is the third Popeyes location in Greater Manchester.
The Manchester Arndale restaurant, which opened on August 29 from 11am, is the sixth location in the North West and forms part of Popeyes ambitious plans to almost double its UK footprint by the end of 2025. The new site follows the opening of their drive-thru restaurant on Bury New Road last year, and their Manchester Piccadilly location which opened in late 2023 – both of which saw hundreds queuing on their opening days.
Chicken fans at the Manchester Arndale Popeyes will get to experience fan-favourites like the iconic Popeyes Chicken Sandwich, Tenders, and Signature Chicken Wraps in Classic, Spicy, and BBQ plus original Southern biscuits and gravy. Each piece of Popeyes chicken is marinated for 12 hours on-site in its signature blend of Louisiana herbs and spices, then hand-breaded and battered to deliver that world-famous ‘shatter crunch’.
Popeyes will also be serving up its full breakfast menu at the new Manchester Arndale restaurant, packed with British breakfast classics combined with a New Orleans twist, the menu features the Big Cajun Roll, Cajun Hash Browns and indulgent Nutella-topped buttermilk biscuits.
The new Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich will also be available from opening day on August 29, following huge demand from fans for its return to the menu. A sweet and spicy twist on the iconic Popeyes classic, the Hot Honey Sandwich is drizzled with Hot Honey sauce, topped with cheddar cheese and pickles, and served in a soft brioche bun.
The Sandwich is joined by the return of the bigger-than-ever Hot Honey range, featuring the brand-new Hot Honey Saucin’ Boneless, the comeback of Hot Honey Saucin’ Wings, and the Hot Honey Box Meal.
How to get a free Popeyes Chicken Sandwich at Manchester Arndale
On opening day, the first three customers will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a year. The first 50 customers in the queue will be treated to exclusive Popeyes UK merchandise and the first 100 will bag a free Chicken Sandwich. The queue starts at 9am on August 29, with offers only valid on opening day.
Ahead of the opening day, fried chicken fans can enter for the chance of winning one of its world-famous Chicken Sandwiches by signing up via the Popeyes UK website. But for those who can’t wait, the full Popeyes menu is available for dine in or takeaway from Popeyes Manchester Piccadilly and Popeyes Bury New Road or can be ordered via Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat.
