The dream combo does exist.
We’ve been pretty spoiled with epic pie creations here in Manchester. From proper pie barms at Ate Days A Week to Potter’s Pies god-worthy Ode to Gregg’s sausage roll-pie combo, there’s a whole lot of beige in this city to enjoy. And now, we’re about to get even more of it.
Coming from the pie geniuses at Potters Pies – a mother-son operation with a collective 60 years of pie-making experience – ‘An Ode To Santa’ is set to grace the lips of Mancs in just a couple of weeks, with the new creation bringing a festive twist to the sausage roll-pie combo they designed (and absolutely mastered!) earlier this year.
Consisting of a classic pie base filled with turkey, roast potatoes, crunchy stuffing and cranberry, the pie brings some of the most popular flavours of the season to the new creation, with a lid made from pigs in blankets sausage rolls wrapped up in delicious, flaky pastry. It’s ambitious, absolutely, but somehow, it totally works.
Popping up at Moda Angel Gardens on 5th December and Stretford Public Hal on 11th December, there’s still plenty of time to try the delicious festive treat, with more updates and info available on their Instagram here.
