Why should the Manchester city centre have all the fun, eh? Well, here to change things up south west of the city is a brand new independent bowling alley and entertainment venue from Lane 7, the first operator making its home at Bruntwood and Trafford Council’s Foundation building in the Stamford Quarter, Altrincham.
Arriving in one of the best places to live in the UK, boutique bowling brand with 13 sites across the country, Lane7, has taken over the 12,640 sq ft lower ground floor of Foundation with a nine lane bowling destination. It sits alongside three other retail, hospitality and leisure brands including Starbucks Coffee, with guests able to access the venue via Stamford New Road.
Becoming one of Manchester’s go-to destinations for mate-date socials, Lane7 is more than just a bowling alley – with tons of activities to try out under just one roof. As well as nine state-of-the-art bowling lanes, other games and activities available for guests to enjoy include pool, beer pong, shuffleboard, ping pong, darts, and karaoke.
Lane 7 Altrincham also features a bespoke design with interiors inspired by industrial and urban aesthetics. The venue showcases the brand’s signature graffiti walls and introduces brand-new disco toilets adorned with mirror ball-covered ceilings.
Bringing all the fun with their unparalleled ten-pin bowling experience, guests at Lane 7 in Altrincham can enjoy ‘immersive’ games of bowling – with light triggers, party vibes when you hit a strike, and seriously cool industrial vibes. The venue also brings their famous cocktail menu to town plus an extensive range of beers, ciders and wines, as well as bar bites, so guests can sip and snack whilst they bowl.
The Manchester venue located at Great Northern Warehouse offers a fun karaoke experience (with private rooms to avoid embarrassment!), retro arcade games, and a shooting pod concept – where guests can ‘unleash fire’ in a private booth. Lane 7 Manchester is also home to pool and beer pong tables, as well as shuffleboard, ping pong, and darts – which are all available to hire by the hour.
Gavin Hughes, Lane7 Managing Director, said: “We’re incredibly excited to officially open the doors to Lane7 Altrincham. We know it’s a much-anticipated opening and we’re really grateful for all the enthusiasm of the community – we’ve been welcomed with open arms.
“We’re looking forward to providing Altrincham with our unique offering and can’t wait for guests to pay us a visit.”
The Foundation building is built on the site of Rackhams, the former House of Fraser department store which closed down in August 2020. The development aims to bring a blend of retail, leisure and workspace to the heart of the high street, with hospitality businesses spilling out onto Stamford Square with the aim of creating a thriving new neighbourhood for Altrincham.
