A New Bowling Alley With Peanut Butter Burgers, Karaoke & More Is Opening Next Week

By Laura Rogan

It’s set to be so much more than just ten-pin bowling.

The city has been spoiled with new openings over the past year – despite the pandemic’s efforts to grind it all to a halt – and joining the ever-growing list of new Manchester hotspots is Lane7, a brand new ten-pin bowling destination that offers so much more than just bowling.

Becoming one of Manchester’s go-to destinations for mate-date socials, Lane7 will open its doors on May 17th, in line with the next key date on the government’s lockdown exit plan.

Bringing all the fun with their unparalleled ten-pin bowling experience, guests will get to enjoy ‘immersive’ games of bowling – with light triggers, party vibes when you hit a strike, and seriously cool industrial vibes.

The aesthetics shed the retro American theme that has become a copy-paste look for bowling alleys across the UK, bringing a more Mancunian vibe to the new venue. If that wasn’t all, guests will also get to enjoy table service at each lane, with classic milkshakes, cocktails, and craft beers all up for grabs.

And the fun doesn’t end there. Elsewhere in the venue, guests will get to take advantage of a fun karaoke experience (with private rooms to avoid embarrassment!), retro arcade games, and a brand new shooting pod concept – where guests can ‘unleash fire’ in a private booth. DJs will also be taking over the booth day and night, bringing the party vibes no matter the day.

For those looking for more social games, the venue will also be home to pool and beer pong tables, as well as shuffleboard, ping pong, and darts – which are all available to hire by the hour.

The opening will also see Fat Hippo’s first venture into Manchester, with stacked gourmet burgers (including their famous peanut butter burger) on the menu. The burger joint serves up both beef and chicken burgers (both as meaty as the next), as well as vegan patties for those who prefer it meat-free.
