After two successful market days at new city centre neighbourhood, Kampus, Ancoats Pop-Up is set to expand further – this time, with a fun new night market focusing on food and drink. Bringing street food and booze to the lively destination as the sun begins to lower, the new night market will launch next month, hosting tons of artisan makers from around the city who’ll be showcasing their street food, craft alcohol and so much more on the night.
Kicking off Thursday, June 9th at 6pm, guests will be able to indulge in some delicious local delights, including fresh pastel de natas from Just Natas, Japanese street food from Osaka Local and Afro Brit hot eats from Bon St Local.
Visitors will also be able to browse fantastic pieces of art created by local artists, while enjoying boozy creations from the Witch Kinds Rum cocktail bar, alongside live music all night long. Cloudwater’s long-term residency at the Bungalow remains for those who prefer craft beer, with some of the best local beers up for grabs all evening long.
The Night Market is tipped to be a huge success already, with further dates planned for Thursday 14 July, 11 August and 15 September.
Alice Longson, of Ancoats Pop-Up, said: “This is our first-ever night market and we’re chuffed to be bringing something new to Manchester’s thriving independent scene. The Kampus garden is a hidden oasis, it’ll be the perfect place to spend a really chilled evening sampling some of the city’s best street food indies and supporting artisan makers. Our monthly weekend markets have proved a hit at Kampus and this is a lovely, limited run for the summer to showcase our city’s best creatives on the, hopefully warm, summer nights.”
