Ever fancied taking on a Bushtucker Trial?
Well, now’s your time to shine, because ITV is bringing the hit game show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! to life with a brand new, family-friendly experience.
Featuring tasks and challenges “based around the iconic Main Camp, Croc Creek and Snake Rock”, the huge new attraction will allow participants to face their fears and “test your nerve and agility”, collecting stars as they go (as they do on the show) with a series of trials throughout the 2,500 sq ft venue.
Originally scheduled to launch last year, but postponed as a result of the pandemic, the brand new attraction will boast a number of features throughout – including treetop zip lines, rope challenges, climbing walls and more – with the famous winner’s bridge marking the end of the challenge. There, guests will be able to get their photo taken just like the winning celeb does on the show, before celebrating a victory on the Jungle Throne after conquering the Jungle Challenge.
The brand new attraction will mark part of the redevelopment of Quayside MediaCityUK – formerly the Lowry Outlet – which is currently undergoing a £26m makeover including a new state-of-the-art Vue cinema, a Virgin Active, and waterfront leisure and dining destination, The Watergardens.
Originally set to open in the Autumn of last year, it’s now been confirmed that the Jungle Challenge will open its doors this summer, with an official launch date for July 30th.
James Penfold, controller of partnerships for ITV Global Entertainment, said: “I’m a Celebrity… Jungle Challenge is a one of a kind, multi-sensory adrenaline adventure – bringing together the heart and soul of the hugely celebrated series, and ITV’s expertise in curating fantastic, memorable live brand experiences for guests and families across the world.”
Appointed operators, Continuum Attractions’ CEO Juliana Delaney, added: “We’re really looking forward to opening the doors on the Jungle Challenge; it will be a totally new and utterly amazing action-packed physical challenge for friends and family to enjoy together this summer.”
Tickets start at £27.50 per child and £30 per adult, those looking to take on the challenge can register their interest here to keep up to date with opening news.
