Bringing a slice of the Balearic Islands to Manchester.
We might not be dusting off our passports ready for a summer holiday like pre-COVID times, but as it turns out, a flight to a land far away isn’t necessary after all. Taking inspiration from the party island itself, the Great Northern Beach Club has expanded on its summery terrace, opening up Ibiza-inspired beach huts and a chic Sunset Lounge for Mancs to enjoy all summer long.
Opening for the first time back in April, the Beach Club – which is from the team behind Bar Hutte – brings ‘a relaxed patch of Balearic bliss’ to the bustling Manchester square, with frozen cocktails, live DJs and bands, and even sports screenings (including the Euros!) throughout the summer months.
Home to a gorgeous covered and heated terrace, the Beach Club also houses colourful beach huts – which guests will be able to book for groups of up to six people. The exclusive huts include a 42’ TV screen, a welcome drinks package, and your own personal host, so you can enjoy fruity cocktails and the footy in your very own socially distant space.
The bar has also recently introduced a new mambo style entertainment bar, The Sunset Lounge, where guests can meet in groups of up to six, watch live sports, enjoy live bands, and even take part in Sunday morning Yoga with FLEX YOGA.
On the menu, guests can expect fruity and frozen cocktails, draught beers and even vitamin-infused health drinks – all of which are perfect for the warmer days we’ve been blessed with this week.
The bar also has a number of fantastic summery events in the pipeline, too, including Aperol Weekenders and Bank Holiday cocktail sessions, with DJs booked in to bring the Balearic vibes every single weekend.
The Terrace is currently open now, and guests can snap up a private beach hut over on their website here.
Find them at Great Northern Square, 235, Deansgate, M3 4EN.
