The Great Northern Beach Club is bringing the beach-side cocktails to us…
The team behind Manchester’s fantastic Bar Hütte winter huts (which we’re guilty of hitting up every year for a bit of karaoke) is back with a new summer edition – and it’s set to bring Balearic beach vibes to us this spring/summer.
Popping up at Great Northern Square, which already has its very own beach, The Great Northern Beach Club promises bohemian vibes, chilled music and a wonderful cocktail list – bringing a slice of Ibiza to the city over the summer. But the best part? It’s set to open in line with the government’s lockdown exit plan on Monday, April 12th – so we can enjoy it sooner rather than later.

Consisting of a huge canopy that houses a spacious, undercover terrace (for those days when it does inevitably rain), there’ll be plenty of seating to take advantage of over the coming months, bringing a certain buzz to the Great Northern after months of lockdown tumbleweed.
The bar will have plenty of summery drinks on offer, too, including cocktails such as strawberry daiquiris and frosé, chilled beers and even iced bottles of rose. Guests who fancy a bite to eat will be able to enjoy fantastic street food from Manc faves South Manny Flavaz, Platzki and Alex’s Bakery.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better than that, it really, really does. Expanding from the 17th May, there’ll also be a sunset ‘mambo’ style lounge, which will feature exclusive beach huts that are available to book out privately. The huts will be ideal for summer nights reuniting with friends, with Balearic beats and regular DJ sets providing the Ibiza tone. If that wasn’t all, the Great Northern Beach Club also has a number of fab events up their sleeves for the summer season, including Aperol weekenders and even summer gin festivals. Bookings are open now, and you can reserve your spot here.
