8. Daisy Nook Garden Centre
At Daisy Nook Garden Centre in Failsworth, they sell Nordmann Firs, which are meant to be the best for retaining their needles as well as being green and bushy. Come ready for with the size of your Christmas tree stand and the garden centre can trim the tree’s base to fit as well as net them for easy transportation all for free. 9. Kiwi Nurseries
The name might be a tad deceiving but these wonderful nurseries packed with rows of Christmas trees this season are located in the Manchester area and not New Zealand. 10. Woodheys Christmas Trees
Stocking possibly the widest range of Christmas trees in the Greater Manchester area, Woodheys offers Fraser Fir, premium Nordmann fir, Korean fir and Scotch pine. 11. Grange Farm
At Grange Farm in Lowton, just a short drive from Wigan, you won’t just find rows of Christmas trees, but instead you’ll find a forest of them! The pick your own forest, which also offers pumpkin picking in autumn, is now available to visit and will remain open throughout the festive season, until 2pm on Christmas Eve. The farm’s tearoom and restaurant, The Barn at Grange Farm, will be open too, meaning you can get a bite to eat inside, or even tuck into a full roast dinner. 12. Clayton Fold Christmas Tree Farm
A bit further afield from the Manchester, in the neighbouring county of Cheshire, Clayton Fold Farm is brimming with Christmas trees, with plenty of options to choose from. Head towards the Peaks to this Christmas tree farm filled with fabulous firs that stretch quite a way, meaning you’re bound to find the perfect tree. The farm is open to the public so you’re able to choose then the team cuts them so you know they’re fresh. Plus, you can buy pre-cut or pot grown trees as well as trees reaching an impressive 20ft, with the option to reserve then collect yours closer to Christmas. 13. Fairfield Social Club
Located adjacent to Angel Meadows Park and next to Blackjack Brewery under the iconic arches of Manchester’s emerging Red Bank area, Fairfield Social Club will be a multi-purpose site that includes two bars, a huge 250 seater event space and a secret garden with in-situ street food trader and, for this winter pop-up, a Christmas Tree shop.

Known for allowing the public in to pick seasonal produce all year round, of course Kenyon Hall Farm in Warrington is all geared up for Christmas tree season. The indoor forest of real, fresh-cut Christmas trees is now open every day for you to wander through the gorgeously-scented foliage, getting into the festive spirit as you choose your prefect tree. Choose from a variety of sizes from 5ft-9ft, and species in potted or fresh cut varieties of Nordmann Fir, Spruce or Fraser Fir – whatever suits your needs.

16. Dunham Massey Farm Ice Cream
It may sound strange that an ice cream shop is a prime destination for getting your Christmas tree, but hear us out. The gorgeously festive Dunham Massey Farm Ice Cream has Nordmann Firs from 4ft-8ft, and will also be getting some potted trees soon for those who prefer that home-grown look. Of course, Dunham Massey itself is incredible especially this time of year, with a deer park and magical light trail, so there’s plenty of opportunity to make a day of it, or simply drop in to the shop on a whim.
