Dunham Massey Is Bringing Back Its Festive Illuminated Christmas Light Trail This Year

By Laura Rogan

Christmas is looking magical already!

While the majority of 2020 was mostly looking like a bit of a write-off, Dunham Massey has lifted our spirits by confirming the return of their stunningly festive illumination trail, which is set to take place this December. And as a result of the national lockdown this month, customers will be able to enjoy the festivities right through to January 10.

The event, which will take its fourth run this Christmas, will transform the beautiful formal gardens and deer park with festive lights trailing throughout – taking the shape of gorgeous, glittering deer, wrapping around the trees and even taking form as huge snowflakes.

The incredible installation is undoubtedly a sight to behold, with plenty to see for kids and adults alike. Gasp at the huge strobe effects that flood the park and waterside with colourful lights, walk through light-covered tunnels (brilliant for photos) and walk alongside artistic-looking light sculptures.

The 1.5-hour trail can be enjoyed with mulled wines and hot chocolates as you walk on through, with brand new light installations created especially for this year (including a crystal and fire garden!).

Christmas at Dunham Massey kicks off once the national lockdown lifts, officially closing on January 10th. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
