One of the most exciting things about Christmas is the sense of tradition – the cosy rituals we perform in preparation year in, year out, that are almost as special as the day itself. And what could be more of an iconic ritual than decorating the tree? You can make your Christmas tree more magical than ever this year with some handmade decorations from the teal vending machine in New Maker Yards in Salford, popping up from December 6-21.
With only 200 available, this is a strictly while-stocks-last moment, so don’t miss your chance to get one before they’re gone! You’ll find the vending machine at the New Maker Yards reception.
Designed to resemble a traditional ceramic Japanese gachapon vending machine, this festive lucky dip is filled with beautiful decorations, crafted by local artist Amy Victoria Marsh. Each decoration is priced at £7.50, with all proceeds being donated to Diversity Role Models, a charity that works to promote understanding and acceptance of individual difference and end LGBTQ+ bullying in schools. So you can make your tree look gorgeous whilst giving money to a good cause!
There are six designs in total, and each of them have been created in Amy’s distinctive and playful style. Finished by hand and therefore totally unique, they are the perfect way to add an extra special touch to your tree this year, or to gift to friends and family.
200 decorations are available to purchase in total, and hidden among them is one extra special design – a golden reindeer with a red nose that one lucky visitor will be able to take home – the ultimate rare find everyone will be hoping to unwrap. Will you unbox one of the six collectables, or walk away with the golden reindeer? And don’t forget to share your festive find by tagging @newmakeryards on Instagram.
When you’ve chosen your decorations, 92 Degrees Coffee next door is just the place to warm up with a seasonal coffee or hot chocolate.
