In a whole lot of what can only be described as beer sorcery, Northern Quarter favourite Wolf at the Door has launched a ‘soft serve beer’, an innovation that we have to say, we’d never heard of until right now.
Resembling a refreshing slushy, the soft serve beer is made with Omnipollo’s ‘Bianca Godfeather Lassi Gose’, a fruity gose packed with the flavours of tart blueberries and raspberries, juicy pineapples, marshmallow, maple syrup, milk sugar and rock salt. If you’re new to the concept of the ‘gose’, the beer is fairly similar to a sour beer (in terms of the amount of flavour it carries), making it the perfect way to quench your thirst on those summery days.
In addition to the fruity soft serve, Wolf at the Door is also serving up Omnipollo’s classic pilsner, too, which makes quite a foamy, yet delicious soft serve. Better than ice cream any day, if you ask us.
After working their way through that (very quickly may we add!), the bar is offering Vault City white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and Northern Monk Mango Lassi Heather on soft serve, which will only be available til the keg is done.
The soft serve beers mark Wolf at the Door’s latest tap takeover, which saw Omnipollo and Cave Direct showcasing the Swedish beers just last night. The tasty summer treats perfectly accompany Wolf at the Door’s beloved £1 taco and bao bun selection, which is served up daily at the Thomas Street venue. It’s unconfirmed how long the soft serves will be sticking around, so we’d recommend getting your fill ASAP.
