Serving up small plates and some of the best vinos in all the region, Wolf at the Door offers an unbeatable casual environment – and it’s perfect for catching up with friends.
Taking over the previous Odd Bar site on the corner of Thomas Street, this addition to the Northern Quarter dining scene has one of the best menus in town, offering up tasty tacos for just £1. Yep, your eyes are not deceiving you. That really did read £1 tacos.
Using American and global influences to diversify their food offering, guests can chow down on tacos with toppings such as jerk chicken, Sloppy Joe mix and Berlin Bratwurst – and with the menu being extremely pocket-friendly, it means you can try the whole menu if you really want to without breaking the bank.
Also making up the menu is a variety of tasty bao buns, which also take influence from other cuisines with fillings including pina colada prawns, ham, egg and chips and buffalo chicken. Wash ’em down with some of the world’s best wines (our pick being the Australian orange wine), or choose from one of the bar’s beers which make up a carefully curated menu both on draught and bottled.
Inside the bar, you’ll find uber-modern decor with bohemian touches – with fresh hanging plants adding vibrance to the space and clever art dotted around that’s sure to give you a laugh if you notice it. Take in the chilled vibes across two floors, or soak up the Manchester sunshine outdoors on their street terrace – a direct product of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new area features ample alfresco dining and drinking space, where guests are welcome to enjoy their extensive drinks menu or grab some street-style grub in the new sociable atmosphere, which is shared with neighbouring bars The Bay Horse Tavern and Cane & Grain.
Wolf at the Door currently operates on a walk-in basis seven days a week – with food served from noon to 9pm.
