Many of us are familiar with the great pastime that is brunch (although after a bottomless brunch we’re a little less au fait), but have you ever heard of a “drunch”? Well, The Lawn Club in Manchester has launched a festive drunch for the season, because why should all the unlimited festivities and fun end in typical brunch fashion at 4pm?
Throughout December, guests at The Lawn Club, which has undergone a festive glow up including a brand-new winter yurt, can enjoy the new bottomless experience which combines all the fun of boozy brunch except at dinner time. Or tea time, depending on where you’re from.
The festive drunch at The Lawn Club in Spinningfields, is served between 4pm and 8.30pm, Sunday to Thursday, meaning you can enjoy the best bits of brunch into the early hours of the evening. Available until December 30, the drunch includes 90 minutes of bottomless Prosecco, mimosas, beer, mulled wine, and selected Christmas cocktails.
Instead of brunching eggs four ways, the bottomless offering includes heartier lunch-dinner menu items to keep guests going throughout the evening, including chicken wings and pizzas – with a choice of one main, one side, mince pies and Christmas pudding for £40 per person.
The Lawn Club will also be hosting a ticketed New Year’s Eve party, kicking off at 7pm with live music, followed by DJs and entertainment, free-flowing pizzas throughout the night, one cocktail on arrival and one glass of fizz at midnight for only £10 per person. Guests can upgrade the party offer to £30 per person, which includes a table in The Pergola, now a fully enclosed cosy space with heaters, or the brand-new winter yurt, Alice’s Yurt, in addition to comfort bites throughout the night and access to special drinks packages.
In collaboration with Johnnie Walker, Alice’s Yurt sits on the open lawn area, decked in twinkling lights and faux fur blankets, offering mulled wine and cider, festive cocktails and hot drinks. Plus, the venue’s famed pods have been replaced with two new winter domes for larger groups, which are also available to book for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
