A worthy honour, indeed.
It’s been quite some years since The Bun and Bones Club first opened its doors in Hazel Grove – 7, to be precise – and they’ve finally achieved the recognition they deserve after becoming a cult success in their local area. Attending the British Takeaway Awards just this week as finalists, the beloved burger spot won big on the night, bringing home the accolade of ‘Best Takeaway in the North West’, which was fittingly awarded by fellow Northerner Paddy McGuinness.
Up against a number of other Stockport-based establishments, The Bun and Bones Club beat the likes of The Spinn, LAPD Food, Just Wings and The Burger Joint this year. Known for their whopping big burgers, fans rate the restaurant highly for their specially-designed menu, which brother duo Dean and Liam working hard on perfecting each and every burger before it’s made available.
The menu is made up of fan-faves such as their Plain Jane burger – which guests can select five of their own toppings for – the Big Philly Style – which is topped with steak, nacho cheese and so much more – and their Hippy Chick burger – which is perfect for the chicken burger lovers among us. For those who fancy something extra, guests can enjoy a selection of chicken wings and loaded fries, alongside regular specials that are often designed for special occasions such as Paddy’s Day, Christmas and just your average Friday.

The brothers are also working on a brand new dark kitchen in Ancoats, too, which will allow Mancs living in a four-mile radius to order their delicious burgers for home delivery.
