On your marks, get set, bake! The latest series of popular baking show The Great British Bake Off is returning to our screens this autumn, and if you fancy giving it a go yourself then there’s a fun baking experience in Manchester where you can roll up your sleeves and don an apron. Known as The Big Manchester Bake, the 90-minute concept allows novice and enthusiasts alike to bake off against their friends, family or colleagues in pairs, to be crowned winning bakers.

It’s a real slice of baking heaven
The baking event The Big Bakes launched The Big Manchester Bake last year, and you can find it a New Bailey, just a short walk from the city centre. The immersive baking experience is perfect for those looking for a way to celebrate birthdays or hen dos, as well as a team-building activity. Whether you know you know your sponges and soufflés, no baking experience is needed, all the ingredients and equipment provided, plus all the washing up sorted, it’s a real slice of baking heaven.
The Big Manchester Bake includes a beautiful baking marquee with 12 baking stations, featuring top appliances to bring participants baking creations to life, as well as a stunning cake-inspired cocktail bar. Open in the evenings and at weekends, visitors to the bar can enjoy a classic or cake-inspired cocktail (Bakewell- tini, anyone?) while seeing baking battles take place.

The Big Bakes has one delicious vision – to bring baking joy to all
Since The Big Bakes started as a pop-up in South London in 2017, the team has welcomed over 200,000 guests to their London and Birmingham venues, with one delicious vision, to bring baking joy to all. The Big Bakes events are already a favourite for famous faces and content creators, having welcomed YouTube sensations KSI and Sidemen, Chunks and Betasquad, fitness star Joe Wicks, Diary of a CEO’s Steven Bartlett, pop sensations Fleur East and Paloma Faith and broadcaster Roman Kemp, just to name a few.
