Of course we love our music here in Manchester, and we’re constantly welcoming musicians, events and festivals bringing together all kinds of the stuff. Now, GRUB has revealed an altogether different type of celebration, and you’re bound to want to swiftly grab a ticket – Swifties, get ready for an enchanting evening of Taylor Swift‘s greatest hits, friendship bracelets, cocktails and unforgettable camaraderie at the very first GRUB Swiftie-oke event.
On October 20, prepare to ‘shake it off’ and channel your inner Tay Tay as you sing your heart out to the chart-topping tunes of Taylor Swift. But that’s not all – before the spotlight hits the stage GRUB will also be celebrating Taylor’s spirit of friendship and creativity with a social gathering where you can connect with fellow Swifties.
Pose for selfies, drink themed cocktails and make your very own Swift-inspired friendship bracelets. It’s sure to be an amazing atmosphere with a few little surprises that will help transport you to Taylor’s world.
When it comes to GRUB Swiftie-oke, there’ll be a vast selection of Taylor Swift karaoke numbers to choose from, with classics like Love Story and You Belong With Me, to newer bops spanning the gamut of Bad Blood, All Too Well (Taylor’s Version), and Cruel Summer, ensuring there’s a fave for everyone.
Whether you’re a die-hard Swiftie or just dipping your toes into her music, Swiftie-oke is for you. Gather your friends, dress up in your Taylor-inspired best, and immerse yourself in the Swiftie community.
When it’s not acting as a home for the Swifties of Manchester, GRUB is a street food and drink events company founded in 2014 by husband and wife team Jason Bailey and Juliana Bailey after a successful run as street food traders themselves. Now based at Red Bank in Manchester’s Green Quarter, GRUB hosts an amazing industrial events space, an independent cinema, a huge beer garden and more.
Tickets for the Swiftie-oke event are £10, which includes a welcome cocktail or non-alcoholic alternative – available here.
