Spring has sprung and we’re looking forward to an exciting summer in Manchester, and now the lush and lovely GRUB garden will relaunch just in time for the beginning of ‘shorts weather’ season.
The days are getting longer and the temperature warmer so it’s the perfect time to get down to the GRUB garden for street food, frozen cocktails, hazy pints, bee and dog-spotting, tunes, vibes and a healthy dose of El Sueno tequila!
With the bonus Bank Holiday afforded us by the Coronation weekend, now is the perfect time to grab a group of friends and relax with a few beverages. Don’t worry, there’ll also be some fine food courtesy of the fantastic street food traders at GRUB – this weekend’s traders include Gatto Pizza, Japanese savoury pancakes from Osaka Local and Nepalese delicacies from Jyotis Momo.
To kick things off properly, on Friday 5th May GRUB will relaunch its garden Plunder Rum Bar and offer discount daiquiris – two for £12 on frozen daiquiris and piña coladas – as well as free lageritas for the first 50 people through the door. “What’s a lagerita?” you ask – you can pop down there to find out, but we’re pretty sure you can hazard a guess.
GRUB co-founder Jason Bailey said: “Summer is finally here so it’s the perfect time to join us in our massive beer garden for a beer and a spot of grub, when the sun is out it really is a magical spot in this city”.
GRUB hosts an amazing industrial events space, an independent cinema, a huge beer garden and more throughout the year. The focus of the events is always providing an inclusive, festival-style atmosphere supported by exceptional food and drink supplied by truly independent producers and chefs.
In addition, GRUB is committed to assisting and mentoring street food traders in order to support the grass-roots food and drinks community in Manchester.
