Rolling into Manchester straight from Altrincham, Vanoffee is the mobile cafe with a difference. Alongside the usual coffees, hot chocolates and cold drinks, there’s a unique selling point to this little van – the Doughnoffee.
Imagine your favourite hot drink, whether it be an indulgent Cocoa Cabana hot chocolate or a smooth jolt of freshly ground coffee, poured into a sugary, naughty, Biscoff or Nutella lined doughnut, topped with whipped cream… heaven!
Vanoffee has now set up shop outside the main campus at Manchester Metropolitan University, All Saints Park, just after the Mancunian Way on Oxford Road, and it’s well worth a stroll up! With a classic ice cream van appearance, the presence of Vanoffee on the streets of Manchester is familiar and welcome, with a more contemporary, chic feel.
Having done the rounds in Altrincham, including a stint at Altrincham Market, the father and daughter team, Rob and April Kennedy, have honed their small business over the past two years, providing amazing quality, delicious drinks and locally sourced cakes and sweet treats.
The latest addition to the menu since the recent opening of the All Saints Park Vanoffee is the Doughnoffee, which has proved massively popular with customers. Of course, it has a novelty, but the innovation and flavour are like nothing else, making the Doughnoffee a massive pull for the cafe on the road.
In addition to this incredible invention, Vanoffee also launched two new menu items on their city centre opening; the ‘Vanetto‘ – a strawberry or vanilla hot chocolate topped with cream, a waffle cone and strawberry dusting; and the ‘Vanoffee 99‘ – a frothy cappuccino with a flaked chocolate top, whippy style cream and a flake, perfect for a classically Manc summer’s day.
The Altrincham Vanoffee site is still open for business, so do drop by if you’re in the area. Whether you’re milling about the uni grounds, passing by on your commute, or even making a day of a journey to the Oxford Road side of town, Vanoffee is most definitely worth the trip!
