Take a trip to Italy via your tastebuds!
If you’ve been scrambling around the kitchen trying to recreate all of your favourite dishes this lockdown, you’ll already be well acquainted with the fact that a homemade bowl doesn’t quite match up to those flavourful, hearty dishes that our favourite restaurants concoct.
Whether you’re guilty of chucking half a jar of ready-made sauce over your dinner, or take the time to make the whole thing fresh, much-loved Manchester restaurant Sugo Pasta Kitchen is sharing their secret recipes for us to become pasta masters at home.
They’ve kept it pretty simple too, breaking the recipes down into key ingredients to ease us in, making it the perfect opportunity for us to mix it up and pimp our pasta game while we’re stuck at home.
Sugo kicked off the original series on their social media channels during the first lockdown – starting with the recipe to a Strozzapreti dish, one of the restaurant’s popular main dishes.
If the recipe series wasn’t a kind deed for the community to enjoy already, Sugo has also recommended a few suppliers (two of which are local!) who can deliver the ingredients straight to your door – including Bettaveg, Gando Foods and Tenuta Marmorelle.
So far, the recipes live include their Strozzapreti (with broccoli and anchovies), Ribollita (with cannellini beans and soffrito) and ‘Dad’s peas and eggs’.
