For many, the month of March means one thing. St Patrick’s Day. Yes, it’s time to grab all your green garments and celebrate the patron the saint of Ireland. Not sure what the craic is in Manchester? Well, luckily we’ve rounded up some of the top spots in Manchester to spend St Patrick’s Day. Now, the big question is who’s getting the first round of Guinness?
1. Crazy Pedro’s
Guinness, is set to be at the centre of Crazy Pedro’s upcoming Paddy’s Day celebration and better still, it’s bottomless. 2. The Koffee Pot
If you’re looking to fuel up before a day on the Guinness, then The Koffee Pot’s Irish Fry Up is the perfect wake-up call on St Paddy’s Day. The delicious feast includes; Littlewoods Butchers dry-cured bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, potato cake, black and white pudding, egg, mushrooms and wholemeal soda bread. On Sunday 17 March, PUBLIC will be adding unlimited Guinness to their bottomless brunch menu to celebrate the patron saint of Ireland. For just £30 per person, you can choose from either the buttermilk chicken sando, hot oil gun gun noodles or cheeseburger and unlimited drinks which includes Guinness, margaritas, daiquiris, mimosas, pints and more. 4. Red Light
Red Light cocktail bar is bringing Ireland to Kampus for a Paddy’s Day Post-Pub Party this St Patrick’s Day. On March 17, the bar will be welcoming the St Patrick’s Day crowds for an evening celebration of good Irish fun. Open as normal from 4pm, Irish dancers will take the floor until 6pm for some traditional Irish step dance before Red Light turns into a proper Irish ‘Hooley’. A DJ will be playing some of most iconic Irish music, ranging from the likes of Westlife and B*Witched to The Cranberries and The Pogues. An iconic spot to spend St Patrick’s Day is of course one of the top Irish pubs in Manchester, Mulligan’s. Said to be serving the best Guinness outside of Ireland (what an accolade to have), Mulligan’s will of course have plenty of the black stuff on tap and more. Between March 8-17, the celebration of the vibrant Irish community in Manchester will be flooding the city with live music and dancing, including the ‘best St Patrick’s Day celebrations outside of Ireland’. As Europe’s biggest Irish festival, Manchester Irish Festival will host 200 events across the city including a lively pop-up festival village, a legendary parade with more than 30 colourful and impressive floats featuring dancers and bands, through to a 12-hour St Patrick’s Day party.

Albert’s Schloss will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day all week pouring Guinness all week ’til the taps run dry to coincide with the St Paddy’s celebrations. Manchester hotel The Midland is serving up a special St Patrick’s Day pie and pint deal. Their Steak & Guinness pie was such a success throughout British Pie Week, the chefs decided to bring it back for St Patricks Day, this Sunday. You can enjoy a freshly cooked, homemade pie with a pint of Guinness for just £19.95, served with roasted bone marrow right in the centre of the pie, mashed potato and crispy onions. 12. Vanoffee
Creators of the ‘doughnoffee’ have launched a lucky green special for St Patrick’s Day, which will be available at the Manchester Irish Festival in St Ann’s Square. The Vanoffee special consists of a doughnut hollowed out and smothered in pistachio spread, filled with coffee then topped with a hefty amount of whipped cream.
