After seeing huge success with their Summer Daze takeover, the Trafford Centre has announced a family-friendly event – this time, with a seriously spooky twist. Coming just in time for Halloween, SPOOKFEST will bring an array of activities for all ages to enjoy at the Trafford Centre, with plenty of food and drink also available to accompany.
Taking place within the outdoor space at the Trafford Centre, SPOOKFEST will kick off on October 14 right up until October 30, bringing the Halloween vibes to town by the bucketload. Bringing back a number of elements that both visitors and celebrities loved at Summer Daze, guests will be able to enjoy an array of fairground rides, movie screenings as well as fun attractions such as a spooky ghost train, pumpkin tower installation and even a scary haunted house.
In addition to all of that, a family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular big top circus show has also been planned, with spine-chilling performances outside of the shopping centre. There will be a specially selected international cast of skeletons, vampires, jack o’lanterns and not forgetting Circus Artistes, brought together for this year’s sensational extravaganza. Tickets can be pre-booked here.
To get into the Halloween mood, the Trafford Centre will also be screening spooky film favourites, all at 2pm, such as Toy Story of Terror (October 15), The Nightmare Before Christmas (October 22) and Coco (October 29). The screenings are free to those with a fairground wristband, which will be pre-bookable via the Trafford Centre website.
The little ones will also be able to enjoy some Halloween fun, too, with costume characters such as Maleficent appearing at weekends and throughout half-term between the times of 2-4pm. Plus, there will be face painting available from 1.30pm – 5.30pm on 15th, 16th and 22nd – 30th October.
Plus this Halloween visitors can discover the Trafford Centre’s new striking Pumpkin Tower feature, which is the first of its kind in the Northwest. The Pumpkin Tower will boast 250 pumpkins and jack o’lanterns which will reach a towering five metres in height- that’s higher than two Christmas trees stuck on top of each other, higher than a single decker bus and almost the height of a giraffe.
A variety of sweet treats will be on offer, including orange candyfloss, spooky lollies, black toffee apples and pumpkin-spiced lattes. Stay tuned for a list of full dining offers.
SPOOKFEST at the Trafford Centre will run between October 14 and October 30. There is a £2.50 entry fee to the funfair at SPOOKFEST, with rides priced individually and token packages available to buy. Pre-booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
