That’s how Ian Brown said it, right? No? Well, it does now! Opening just outside of The Orient quarter at the Trafford Centre, Summer Daze boasts a fantastic, family-friendly 600 sqm beach – promising plenty to see and do over the summer and suitable for Mancs of all ages.
Experience the sand between your toes right here in Costa Del Manchester, with deck chair seating, tons of live music and entertainment in store, sports, fun pop-ups and even a retro fairground. Children and grown-ups alike are invited to enjoy the nostalgic array of rides on-site, including The Star Flyer, Log Flume, Apple Coaster, Cruise Ship and the brand new Sea Storm. Better still you can cool off at the new 200 sqm splash park which boasts multiple water jets.
If that wasn’t all, guests can expect a food and entertainment hub with bars, a stage and a big screen as well as tons of food and drink from the Trafford Centre’s thriving food court. You’ll also find food stalls dotted around the site including a grill house and pop-ups serving doughnuts, crêpes, coffee and ice cream.
This summer, the Trafford Centre welcomes popular local Manchester eateries Ram Yum and Mira, known for their saucy Neapolitan sandwiches, to Summer Daze. The Churro’s Shop will also be available offering sweet desserts for all to enjoy. The drinks menu will include offerings from: Whitley Neill Gin, Madri Beers and El Bandarra, which will also have a dedicated Spritz Bar.
Trafford Centre’s summer of sport has also kicked off with a free to access fan zone to watch big sporting events such as the Women’s Euros and the Tour de France, all on a 15sqm giant screen. You can also head to their outdoor cinema which is bringing the magic of film under the stars and is the perfect way to spend a summer’s evening.
Summer Daze kicks off at the Trafford Centre from July 22, and is open from 12pm daily right up until September 4. Entry to the outdoor food & entertainment hub and big screens is FREE and on a first come first served basis. You can book the fairground ahead here.
