Whether you call it a sarnie, sandwich or buttie, a festival dedicated to the lunchtime staple is coming to Manchester this September. After great success hosting in London, ‘the UK’s ultimate sandwich celebration’, known as Sarnie Party, is heading North to Manchester for two delicious days of carb-loaded joy, juicy cross-sections and next-level fillings.
Taking place on the evening of Friday 12th September and all day Saturday 13th September in the green oasis and Manchester city centre neighbourhood of Kampus, the sandwich celebration will bring the very best dough-obsessed chefs and sandwich makers in a showcase of the best sarnies since, well, sliced bread. And what’s even better than sarnies for dinner… Sarnie Party is free to attend.

Sarnie Party is the lovechild of London’s eventing entrepreneurs, festival curator Molly Hutchinson and Allie Behr of Hot Sauce Society, who bring together their love of the UK food scene and equal passion for the UK’s favourite snack.
Harriet Downey, General Manager at Kampus, said: “We’re looking forward to bringing Sarnie Party to Manchester and hosting so many sandwich lovers in our garden neighbourhood. We’re lucky to have some of the best independent food and drink brands in the city here at Kampus, and it’s exciting to have them joined by so many other great operators to celebrate all things sandwich!”

What to expect at the sandwich festival
Sarnie Party in Manchester will feature ten independent operators across both days, including local Manchester legends like Bada Bing and Rack as well as Pollen, Marleo, Madre, The Grubfellas, Nell’s Pizza, Maker’s Quarter, The Beeswing and OSMA, who will be serving up special sarnies too. Joined by a host of chefs from across the country, including Castro’s from Liverpool, King of Feasts in Edinburgh and The Bodega from Norwich, each one will be creating a unique, never-before-seen (or eaten) sandwich for the festival.

Expect butties, brews, hoagies, sangers, melts, stacks and subs – all made fresh and certainly won’t leave hungry. Sandwiches can be purchased using tokens, which cost £8 each on the day or you can grab a limited availability ‘sarnie bundle’ in-advance online where three tokens cost £22.
Guests can also expect sarnie specials and drinks offers from existing Kampus residents, plus an outdoor bar with cocktails from Kraken and Tito’s and a selection of ice cold beers. Local station, Reform Radio, will also be outdoors spinning discs whilst you tuck into some of the best sarnies in the country.
