After embarking upon the biggest stadium tour of the year as special guest to Oasis, Richard Ashcroft has announced a huge show at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Saturday 8th November – his only UK headline show announced for 2025.
A two-timeIvor Novello Award winner, Richard Ashcroft has become one of the most accomplished and influential songwriters around over the course of a career which spans three decades. His first chapter with Wigan’s own The Verve reached a remarkable peak with ‘Urban Hymns‘, a hit-laden set which is one of the biggest selling albums in UK history.

This album, and The Verve’s lasting legacy, included the likes of Bitter Sweet Symphony, The Drugs Don’t Work, Lucky Man and Sonnet, making Richard Ashcroft one of the best songwriters in Greater Manchester, and British, history. Between The Verve and his solo work he has achieved three UK #1 albums and another five Top 10 records, plus a #1 single and five Top 10 hits.
The chance to see this music powerhouse cannot be overstated, and this Co-op Live date is set to be very special, since it’s the only one Richard Ashcroft has announced. Richard Ashcroft and Oasis share a mutual admiration which dates back to touring together before Oasis first broke through, with Richard currently performing as a special guest on all of their UK shows.

The announcement follows the news of the October release date of his brand new album ‘Lovin’ You’, his first all-new album since 2018’s ‘Natural Rebel’. The ‘Lovin’ You’ album opens with its first single Lover, which received nationwide airplay. The song interpolates Joan Armatrading’s classic Love And Affection, which earned the praise of the legendary songwriter herself: “I love how he’s used my song and I love his song.”
The songs on ‘Lovin’ You’ were written by Richard, who co-produced the album with Chris Potter and Emre Ramazanoglu. There’s also the track I’m A Rebel, co-written and produced with Mirwais of Madonna fame. ‘Lovin’ You’ is now available to pre-order here.

Richard Ashcroft’s only headline show comes on 8th November at Co-op Live in Manchester. Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on Friday 18th July, here.
