Yeah, us neither. Banish the disappointment over badly made pancakes and celebrate Shrove Tuesday with some of the most delicious pancake stacks you’ve ever seen. The kings of American food, Alabama’s never disappoints. Serving the most delicious and well-portioned breakfast meals, their pancakes are a real highlight for guests. Stacked high with all the toppings, menu items include berries and cream, banoffee, peanut butter and bacon with maple syrup. Serving bottomless pancakes for just a tenner, guests at The Shack can fill their tummies with delicious buttermilk pancakes topped with a choice of bacon and maple syrup, blueberries, peanut butter and strawberries and cream. Add £15 and you’ll also receive bottomless bevs, with unlimited bloody marys, bellinis, prosecco or mimosas to choose from for a whole 90 minutes. The event is on 25 February only, so don’t miss out! Another bottomless pancake event especially for you Mancunians, Impossible are hosting unlimited pancakes and prosecco for just £20 per person. Bargain. The event will take place on Shrove Tuesday itself, 25 February, with American pancakes available ’til you pop! Based at the Redbank Project, GRUB MCR are teaming up with Liverpool based Crepe Chateau this year, bringing with them a menu of sweet and savoury crepes to scran. Cooked in a french style, each guest will receive two courses of stuffed crepes – with vegan and veggie options available on the day. Moose Coffee is a popular place for pancakes in Manchester, so it wouldn’t be a pancake list without them. Now with two sites in the city, Moose serves up some of the thickest, most filling pancakes in the whole of town. Think heavenly toppings such as apple and salted caramel, chocolate peanut butter, banana and pecan and berry compote with mascarpone. This Northern Quarter restaurant’s pancakes have long held a place in our hearts, with delicious combos such as banana, nutella and salted caramel and blueberry compote with frosting on the menu. The homely diner has an array of incredible desserts if pancakes aren’t your style – with an incredible homemade cake counter that’s not for the faint-hearted. Bill’s in Spinningfields is celebrating Shrove Tuesday with a brand new pancake menu, available to order from 21 February to 1 March. The inclusive menu is perfect for both vegan and non-vegan pancake fans – with both sweet and savoury options to chow down on. This year’s menu options include sweetcorn pancakes with eggs, feta and avo, roast tomato and black olive vegan pancakes, classic lemon and sugar, banana and salted caramel, white chocolate with frozen berries and ice cream with chocolate sauce.
