There’s a new buzz brewing in town – Morning Glory, the freshest new independent grab-and-go coffee spot in the Northern Quarter, is officially opening its doors on Saturday 30th August at 8am , and will be celebrating with a proper good giveaway.
Located on the bustling Oldham Street, Morning Glory is proudly Manc, through and through. With interiors that nod to the city’s music and industrial heritage, a rotating line-up of bakes from Manchester-based bakeries, and drinks sourced from local suppliers, it’s all about spotlighting the people and flavours that put Manchester on the map.

Tucked inside a beautifully restored Methodist Church on Oldham Street, Morning Glory is small but mighty; built for fueling early risers, busy commuters and hungover wanderers with top-tier coffee and on-the-go snacks.
Expect bold brews, big flavours and a full-on love letter to Manchester. The diagonal floor stripes nod to the legendary Hacienda dancefloor, the honey-yellow bar tiles give a shout to the city’s iconic worker bees, and the name? A cheeky wink to the most Manc band of all time, Oasis. Of course.

The menu consists of Manc gems, including local suppliers Kyoto Matcha, and the crowning glory? A twist on the classic Manchester Tart, created by Vainllis, a local Ancoats bakery.
Sandwich lovers, take note: MG’s signature ‘Glory Holes‘ are not to be missed. These bagels are sliced, stuffed with whipped cream, brushed with garlic butter, re-baked to golden perfection and finished with a drizzle of honey thyme.
There will also be a line-up of stacked bagels, including grilled peach with goat’s cheese and chilli jam; roast chicken thigh with smoked garlic mayo, iceberg lettuce and red onion and a next-level ham and cheese stack.

Also on offer to kickstart mornings in the best way: a banging coffee + bagel brekkie deal for just £5 – perfect for a bite before that morning dash to the tram or, the ideal hangover cure after a night out in the city. With just 12 seats and a menu made for being on the move, the space is casual, cosy and full of personality, proper good vibes, no faff, and quality at the heart of everything.
Founder Zack Hipps, local foodie and content creator, said: “Morning Glory is my love letter to Manchester. We’ve grafted for months building the space, and it’s mad to think we’re finally opening the doors.

“It’s a warm, welcoming spot with proper Manc charm, and I’m buzzing to be working alongside some of my favourite local makers. Manchester’s got one of the best food scenes in the country, and we can’t wait to shine a light on all the incredible talent out there, whilst fuelling up Manc’s one brew at a time.”
The space will create 13 new local jobs and spans 50sqm, nestled among Northern Quarter icons like Afflecks and The Freemount.

100 free drinks to celebrate the opening of Morning Glory
To mark the launch, the first 100 people through the doors on opening day will bag a free drink – but that’s not all. Three lucky customers will be randomly chosen to win a golden ticket, scoring free coffee every single day for a whole year. That’s over 360 free brews!
