Does a certain agave spirit tequila your fancy? Then you’re going to want to clear your diaries this week to tackle the ultimate mile-long margarita crawl, right here in Manchester.
Going big for Margarita Day on February 22, fifteen of the coolest bars in Manchester’s NQ are coming together to form the almighty Margarita Mile. The bars, which include fan-favourites like Feel Good Club and Wolf At The Door, will all be showing off their own versions of the classic marg – so you can make it your unofficial mission to decide whose is best.
The crawl starts right by Piccadilly station at fan-favourite Ducie Street Warehouse, and finishes, quite conveniently for those travelling by train, at New Century near Victoria station. In between you’ve got Tariff & Dale, Feel Good Club, PLY, Junior Jacksons, The Daisy, Fierce, Smithfield Social, Almost Famous, Bay Horse Tavern, Liquor & Burn, Wolf At The Door, TROF and Ramona.
Of course, it would be irresponsible of us to encourage you to stop at all fifteen in one night – but you do have the whole week to complete the crawl. Or, more sensibly, you can pick a few of your favourites and make sure to line your stomach along the way. (PLY serve up some of Manchester’s best pizzas, in case you’re looking for inspiration.)
In case you wondered, the event is all down to Mexican tequila brand from actual Tequila, El Tequileño, and everyone’s favourite posh seasoning, Maldon Salt. No tickets are required, so just head down to any (or indeed all) of these bars next week and order their Margarita Mile specials.
