Jason Manford has proven himself a Covid hero.
Following Jason Manford’s hilarious encounter with Tesco last year – which saw him get a job as an Iceland delivery driver when Tesco rejected him – the comedian is back with more good deeds, this time, helping the community get their Covid jabs.
Sharing an image to his followers on Instagram yesterday, the comedian showed off his day – which consisted of helping six elderly and vulnerable locals get to their appointments in the Stockport area.
Manford told his audience of 320,000: “Busy day at the vaccination centre today here in Heald Green. Have already take 3 people & have got another 3 to do!
“Same again tomorrow & Friday 😅 I do wonder why Bill Gates wants to chip poor old Doris from Offerton, but ours is not to reason why I suppose.”
The star has been keeping busy throughout the year, too, singing Christmas Carols in the car parks of care homes, driving the elderly to medical appointments as part of the Stockport Car Scheme, as well as hosting last year’s Royal Variety to help raise money for charity. The comedian also took to Cameo to create personalised videos for fans, donating the money to The Children’s Adventure Farm – a charity which aims to provide free holidays for terminally ill children.
