Ever struggled to get you Madchester mad partner a suitable Easter treat? Well, look no further than Bury’s own Slattery’s Patissier and Chocolatier this year, because they’ve come up with the ultimate wacky treat for Haçienda lovers with their latest Easter egg creation.
The Madchester Music Egg comes in at £21, and that’s pennies for what you get. A classic milk chocolate base egg is adorned with Haçienda smileys, musical notes and a Britpop style guitar, all crafted from sugar decoration.
The egg is topped with a Stone Roses lemon bucket hat, making it truly Manc, and the example shown on the Slattery’s social media displays proudly the Oasis Definitely Maybe album cover, but any album can be requested when ordering.
The Haçienda egg can be pre-ordered by phone with a £5 deposit, but is most definitely too delicate to be transported by courier, so is strictly available for pick-up from the Bury shop. On pick-up, though, you’ll see the visit is worth it, as the Slattery’s shop is truly one-of-a-kind, with their countless extravagant creations adorning the gorgeous interior, and the option to sit and enjoy a cuppa along with one of their amazing sweet treats.
If the Haçienda Easter egg isn’t quite your cup of tea, Slattery’s has a whole range of simpler classic Easter eggs, as well as even more amazing novelty creations. Whether you’re an 80s kid at heart yearning with nostalgia, a superhero nut or mad for marine life, there’s a Slattery’s easter egg for you.
Slattery’s are known for their amazing quality and stellar reputation in Greater Manchester, and what could be better than supporting local this Easter? You can find details of how to pre-order Easter treats, as well as Slattery’s Easter opening hours, over on their Instagram.
