Easter means eggs and Black Milk in Manchester knows egg-actly how it’s done. Bringing back their much-loved Easter treat that can only be described as a sweet interpretation of the classic picnic snack, Scotch eggs, it’s both dreamy and decadent.
The dessert shop on Oldham Street has created some absolute stonkers of Scotch eggs that from a far could be mistaken for the savoury real deal. Coated in a Biscoff biscuit crumb (looks like a spitting image of the OG) or crushed Oreos on the outside, when broken up the Black Milk Scotch eggs reveal a chocolatey surprise.
Inside the Bis-cotch egg (get it?) you’ll find a white chocolatey cake mix coated in white chocolate with everyone’s favourite seasonal chocolate, a Creme Egg. Oozing with gooey fondant, it’s the ultimate Easter treat.
As for the Oreo Scotch eggs at Black Milk, the centre features a chocolate cake mix coated in milk chocolate then an Oreo Easter egg with creamy Oreo filling at its core. And the size of these Scotch eggs are not to be sniffed as they are bigger than a tennis ball. Plus, you won’t be able to break apart the treat in the first bite- two hands or a knife would be recommended to break it apart and see the sweet Scotch eggs in all their glory.
These Oreo and Biscoff eggs join Black Milk’s menu filled with luxurious desserts and baked goods like pancakes topped with the likes of ice cream, chocolate sauce, hazelnut cream or maple syrup and bacon as well as sundaes, blondies, brownies and cookie cups.
Previously, Black Milk launched a chocolatey ice cream sundae filled inside half a chocolate egg and topped with Oreo crumbs and chocolate sauce for Easter, so here’s hoping this returns this year!
