A Wiggle (yes, Wiggle) of Corgis are set to descend on a doggy-friendly restaurant and bar in Greater Manchester, courtesy of POP+BARK, as recently seen on BBC’s Dragons’ Den. The Botanist at MediaCity in Salford will be hosting the Corgi Café pop-up this month, and it will be in Manchester for one day only – you can expect it to be truly emotionally supportive and just plain cute.
Taking place on Sunday 14th May, this will be founders Anushka and James’ first event outside of London, having been hugely successful in the capital, and pup-friendly Manchester is the perfect place to branch out.
Anushka said: “Corgi Café came up in the Den and we talked about how popular its been so off the back of the promise to keep on spreading the joy with our events, we’re bringing it to the home of the Corgi for a big Corgi celebration.
“Bring your corgi for a fantastic socialisation experience, lots of fun Wonderland photo opportunities, treats and the chance to meet fellow corgi owners in the local area. We also welcome corgi lovers without their own dog to come along, great if you’ve lost your own dog or aren’t able to have a dog at home. We can’t wait to host a canine takeover at Media City, we are also hosting time slots for Cockapoos too. It’s going to be fabulous.”
Corgis in attendance can expect Puppuccinos from the world’s only Puppuccino Bar, pupcorn from the Pupcorn Bar with lots of tasty toppings, a bathtub ballpit, off-lead fun, a doggy bakery and pop up boutique.
The one-day event will also comprise of a large indoor venue for safe socialising in a weatherproof setting, a designated ‘Chill Zone‘ for nervous or older Corgis and guests, and a delicious menu of food and cocktails for humans in attendance.
The Corgi Café is set to be a joy for those in attendance, humans and pups alike, and if the success in London is anything to go by, watch this Manchester space! You can find tickets here.
