Garlic bread is quite possibly one of the best starters, sides or main (if you so wish) so much so that a restaurant in Manchester is shining a light on this doughy delight with a spot that is dedicated to the dish. Serving fluffy yet crispy crusted garlic bread loaded with an array of toppings, it’s the stuff that dreams are made of, and the restaurant comes from the same team behind Ciaooo pizzeria.
Opening back in spring 2023, the restaurant in Shudehill is from the same team behind the popular pizzeria that’s home to burrata-loaded pizzas and unreal Italian creations, Ciaooo. Just around the corner from their Swan Street location, the restaurant dedicated to loaded garlic bread took over the former home of the explicitly-shaped waffle cafe, Mr Dick.
The burrata crazy restaurant known to have the biggest sourdough crust game in Manchester has spent the past six years amazing diners near and far with its pizza as well as fun starters like deep-fried lasagne and carbonara. However, it’s also the garlic bread at Ciaooo which has mesmerised many resulting in them opening their very own restaurant devoted to it which is open from 12pm-9pm Tuesday to Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sundays, aiming to target the lunch rush.
The loaded garlic bread restaurant serves up classic options such as ‘plain’ with garlic butter and ‘cheese’ with garlic butter, mozzarella and parmesan, priced between £5 and £5.50. Diners can also expect more exciting flavour combinations on the menu like ‘nduja and honey, cacio e pepe, pesto, marinara and truffle all loaded on top of Ciaooo’s signature fluffy based garlic breads.
Plus, Ciaooo will not only be serving up loaded garlic bread at this restaurant but also 10″ pizzettes available to takeaway, which are smaller versions of their popular pizzas and perfect to feast on at lunchtime. You can choose from the likes of Margherita, two styles of Marinara (one style featuring burrata and green pesto), plus Toscana (parma ham, truffle oil, parmesan), Chorizo (salami, chorizo, mozzarella), Calabrese (n’duja sausage, spicy honey, pepperoni and burrata) and The Smoked (smoked pepperoni, crispy onion and burrata). And if that’s not enough they’ve even launched sweet pizzas in flavours like Lotus Biscoff, triple chocolate, pistachio cannoli, oreo and ice cream cone and Kinder Bueno.
Ciaooo Loaded Garlic Bread restaurant is now open and can be found at 93-95 Shudehill, M4 4AN.
