Burger & Beyond, the London-based burger operation with a cult following, has announced that it will be opening its first location outside of London in Manchester this summer. The burger brand is the second food trader to be announced that will be heading to new Manchester food hall, House of Social.
Founded in 2015 by Tom Stock and Craig Povoas, Burger & Beyond started as a food truck at London street food markets, KERB and Street Feast. Over the years, the brand has built a huge and loyal following, known and loved for serving up some of the best burgers in the capital alongside indulgent milkshakes and tempting sides. Burger & Beyond are also known for their collaborations including social sensation Laurent Dagenais, Flat Iron, Richard Turner and Smokestak.
After the success of their initial food truck operation, the duo opened their first permanent restaurant in Shoreditch in 2018, with subsequent locations in Borough Yards and Soho. Now, they’re set to bring their iconic burgers to Manchester, joining Curry Mile legends, Mughli, as traders at the new food hall.
The headline dish coming with the Burger & Beyond team up north to House of Social is their famous Bacon Butter Burger; an award winning combo of Dry Aged Beef Patty, Double American Cheese, Crispy Pancetta Bacon, Burnt Butter Mayo, Onion. They’ll also be serving up their signature sides such as fried chicken bites and wings.
Tom Stock, Co-Founder of Burger & Beyond, commented: “After years of dreaming about bringing Burger & Beyond to new cities, we’re thrilled to finally be making our Manchester debut at House of Social. The city has such a vibrant food scene, and we’re looking forward to sharing our burgers with a whole new audience. It’s going to be a fantastic summer!”
Jake Atkinson, Head of F&B at Vita Group & House of Social, said: “We are incredibly excited to have Burger & Beyond join us at House of Social. Their reputation for quality and consistency is second to none, and they’ve been on my list for a very long time! We know they’ll be a huge hit with our community of students and food lovers in the city. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to bring them to Manchester this summer.”
Burger and Beyond will open at House of Social on 10 Coleman Street, Manchester, M15 4ND in Summer 2025.
