So you may be familiar with the cutest thing to happen in the fitness world which is puppy yoga, but now more fluffy friends are here to make our lives more zen in Manchester in the form of ‘bunny yoga’. Offering yoga sessions with some of the most adorable animals, it’s enough to make you want to escape your very own burrow this winter and join this hare-raisingly good one complete with rabbits.
One of the city’s popular pooch-filled yoga event companies, Paw Yoga, has announced that it is now running the very first bunny yoga classes in Manchester. Consisting of 30 minutes of yoga with baby bunnies roaming around (but let’s face it we’ll be too besotted to try out handstands and peacock pose), you won’t be the only one hopping around. Paw Yoga welcome yogis of all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, with sessions led by qualified yoga teachers who will guide you through gentle stretches and poses for all abilities.
And since yoga and doting on cute animals can be a balancing act, there’s also time to make those bunnies hoppy with some one-on-one attention. The yoga session is followed by 30 minutes of enjoying cuddles with the cute little rabbits as well as possible feeding if they’re a little peckish- lotus position or child’s pose is optional.
So far, Paw Yoga has hosted a couple of bunny yoga classes but there next dates in Manchester will be on December 17 and 18 in case you fancy hopping along. The yoga company will also be hosting a few puppy yoga sessions before Christmas for those who want the paw-fect serotonin boost over the festive period- after all, it can be quite a stressful time.
And if you can’t get enough of these charming events, Paw Yoga is soon to introduce kitten yoga, sausage dog yoga sessions and bring your own dog yoga, which could be utterly adorable or outright mayhem. Venues are kept secret from the general public, however, each session takes place close to Manchester city centre. For more information and to book, head here.
