Archie’s has taken Manchester and beyond by storm with their delicious (and halal-friendly) burgers but now the American-style diner is set to change the game. Combining the Manchester-born brand’s iconic food and pink décor with a roller rink and arcade, Archie’s is launching a brand new experience, Archie’s Atomic, coming to Trafford Palazzo this autumn.
Opening on November 7 from 10am, Archie’s Atomic is a first of its kind leisure concept by American-style diner Archie’s and will consist of a 5,000 sq ft roller rink (the largest in the North West), a family arcade area and an Archie’s milkshake bar. Sip and skate – what could be better? Located on Trafford Palazzo’s ground floor, adjacent to NERF Action Xperience and opposite SEA LIFE Manchester Aquarium, the concept will allow both beginner and experienced roller-skaters of all ages to enjoy the hobby in a vibrant indoor location all beneath a huge spinning disco ball and experience the vast amusement arcade.
The roller rink venue will blend Archie’s signature bright pink branding with a sleek, industrial design. Alongside the rink will be private party rooms available to hire for birthdays, work parties and everything in-between for groups of up to 8-120 people.
When the 750+ capacity venue opens, guests can also dive into games such as basketball hoops, prize grabbers, driving simulators, and dance machines, in partnership with SEGA. The venue will feature an immersive games box where guests can challenge friends or family in interactive competitions, all soundtracked by a booming sound system with DJ decks blasting hits from the 80s, 90s, and 00s.
Feeling peckish after a few laps? Guests can look forward to enjoying the full Archie’s menu onsite including the delicious smash burgers, alongside this, special VIP food and drink packages will also be available for purchase in the private party rooms.
Since opening the doors to its first restaurant on Manchester’s Oxford Road in 2010, Archie’s has become a much-loved brand in the North-West of England. The operator now has sites across Manchester, Birmingham, and Liverpool, including the recent opening as part of the UK’s first NERF Action Xperience site, also at Trafford Palazzo.
Phil Holt, Project Manager at Archie’s, commented: “We’re incredibly excited to bring Archie’s Atomic to Trafford Palazzo. This venue will be unlike anything seen before in the UK. Combining our iconic food and décor with a retro roller disco feel, the new venue will be complete with huge LEDs, screens, state of the art arcade games and a vibrant atmosphere. We believe this will take the Archie’s brand to the next level and provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.”
Archie’s Atomic joins an exciting line up of unique experiences in Trafford Palazzo which includes NERF Action Xperience, a one-of-its-kind family experience for NERF enthusiasts, and King Pins, a flagship state-of-the-art bowling centre.
Roller-rink passes, granting skaters up to an hour on the floor, will be available all week from £15, or guests can join the Skate Club for any time skate membership at £60 per month. Larger groups can enjoy party packages for 8+ people, starting from £25 per person for children aged 6-14 and £30 per person for those aged 14+. The amusement arcade, packed with games, will operate on pre-loaded cards, available for purchase online or in-venue starting at £10.
Archie’s Atomic is open from 10am on November 7 and bookings can now be made here. The roller skating venue will be open 7 days a week from 10am-10pm, with the milkshake bar serving shakes, waffles, and ice cream from 10am, and the kitchen open from 11am.
