Exciting news for Aldi fans.
There’s been a lot of firsts for us during this pandemic. First sober kebab. First conference call wearing PJs. First time watching Netflix for a 30 hours solid (ok that’s not a first), and now, it’s the first time Aldi has offered food delivery.
Launching a pre-packed essential food box just last week, the budget supermarket is now offering a food parcel service through their website. Aimed at the elderly, vulnerable and those who are suffering due to the virus, the box includes 22 products including tinned goods, rice and pasta – as well as an antibacterial handwash to keep us safe, and a pack of toilet roll.
Here’s the full list of products:
- Premium Baked Beans
- Premium Plum Tomatoes
- Bramwells Carrot & Coriander Soup
- Tomato Soup
- Minestrone Soup
- Chilli Con Carne
- Rice Pudding
- Biscuit Barrel Assortment
- Gold Label Tea
- Instant Coffee

While the supermarket does offer a variety of ‘Special Buys’, as well as wine and spirits via their website, the brand new food box is the first time Aldi has offered food for home delivery. The parcels are priced at just £24.99, making them the cheapest supermarket bundles available, and they’re available to purchase here.
Aldi joins fellow supermarkets Morrisons and M&S, who also offer their own courier-delivered food boxes packed with essential items.
