We have plenty of waterparks to keep us entertained in and around Greater Manchester, but the concept of the aqua park blows those pretty far out of the water. Having made waves in Delamere for a while now, Wild Shore is hopping across the North West to grace Blackpool, once again making the Lancashire town a hotspot for watersports and fun.
Wild Shore Blackpool is a brand new water-based adventure hub, offering a number of unique, dynamic and adrenaline-charged outdoor activities including the Aqua Park, Wakeboarding, Stand Up Paddleboarding and Open Water Swimming.
Located at the former Blackpool Wake Park site, just outside Blackpool at Ream Hills Holiday Park, Wild Shore is the perfect day out for friends, families and individuals. Whether you want to give wakeboarding a try, take on the challenge of the floating Aqua Park obstacle course or explore the stunning lake on a SUP board, Wild Shore has something for all ages and abilities.
The aqua park is a giant floating playground of adventure, designed to provide you with a fun, safe and exhilarating experience, hosting a number of Ninja Warrior-style features. This includes a Tire Run, Ninja-Jump and Eagles Nest along with an epic 3.8m inflatable tower; Mount Rainier. It provides the perfect challenge of balance and nerve for a range of ages and abilities.
Try your hand at cable wakeboarding, one of the world’s fastest growing watersports, using an overhead cable which pulls you over the surface of the lake with a feel similar to surfing or snowboarding but on water. You get 1-to-1 instruction from a talented and qualified teacher, and if you don’t get up in your first session, you get your money back!
Stand up paddleboarding is also available either as taught lessons or on a hire and paddle basis, so you can enjoy the day whatever your intention. If you prefer to actually be immersed in the water, the open water swimming option at Wild Shore Blackpool offers a safe and secure environment with safety instructors on SUP boards and rest pontoons half way round each course − so, bring your inner Wim Hof!
Finish off the day with an exhilarating ride on the Ringo, a three-person rubber float pulled around the lake at speed. See if you can hold on longer than the rest 0f your group, scream your heart out, and get ready to get dunked, because Ringo is a truly wild ride!
Wild Shore Blackpool opens on Wednesday 29 May 2024, and you can book individual activities here.
