Winter is coming, just not yet.
It certainly feels like Autumn. Halloween is only round the corner, the nights are getting darker and we’ve just taken a battering from two storms in one week, so it’s no surprise people are reaching for their woolies.
But according to the Met Office, blue skies are right around the corner! The office has forecast some weirdly warm weather for the rest of this week, with temperatures set to reach 18 degrees today and 17 degrees tomorrow (September 26). Not bad for deepest darkest September.
The Met Office said areas of Cumbria and Lancashire will be hit with drizzle and cloudy skies this week, while Manchester is set to remain bright.
Friday will also be dry and bright, with temperatures falling slightly to 15 degrees before the cooler weather begins to move in on Saturday, the office said.
