A Retro Beach And Fairground Has Popped Up At The Trafford Centre For The Summer

Manchester has everything… Including a beach.

That’s how Ian Brown said it, right? No? Well, it does now! Opening just outside of The Orient quarter at the Trafford Centre, the Summer Social boasts a fantastic, family-friendly 8,000 sq ft beach – promising plenty to see and do over the summer and suitable for Mancs of all ages.

Experience the sand between your toes right here in Costa Del Manchester, with deck chair seating, tons of live music and entertainment in store, sports, fun pop-ups and even a retro fairground. Children and grown-ups alike are invited to enjoy the nostalgic array of rides on-site, including The Star Flyer, Log Flume, Apple Coaster and Cruise Ship.

If that wasn’t all, guests can expect boozy pop-ups from Manchester’s Instagrammable bar and restaurant Boujee, owned by Real Housewives of Cheshire star Lystra Adams, as well as tons of food and drink from the Trafford Centre’s thriving food court.

Speaking of the summer pop-up, Zoe Inman, Centre Director, said: “Summer Social is going to be a unique and vast outdoor area, offering people a safe space to gather, eat, drink and have some fun. With over 200 stores, restaurants and leisure attractions to also explore within the centre itself, it’s time to plan a sensational day out at The Trafford Centre this summer – don’t forget your sun cream!”

Summer Social kicks off today, Thursday 22nd July, and is open from 11am daily right up until 5th September. There’s a £3.50 entry fee for anyone wanting to visit the beach, and you can book ahead here.
