Happy Hallo-wheel!
The Big Wheel is landing outside intu Trafford Centre… but not all is what it seems this Halloween, as hair-raising horrors await.
Experience a Big Wheel ride like no other, as you take to the sky in an eerie witches’ lair, share a pod with a friendly clown, or have a spin with creepy-crawly spiders.
From October 26, the Big Wheel’s cabins will be transformed into scary, themed spaces for families wanting a unique Halloween experience.
On October 31, the Big Wheel will be turned into a Halloween spectacular. For little monsters, the experience will be family-friendly from 11am – 5pm, with face painting and a spooky singing witch.
For groups of friends or couples looking to be spooked, from 6pm – 10pm creepy characters including a ‘friendly’ clown, escaped convict, ominous doll and a menacing witch will be creeping into carriages with customers. Beware of the scorned bride – she’s on the lookout for a new husband!
Alison Niven, Centre Director at intu Trafford Centre, said:
“Dare you ride our Hallo-wheel this Halloween?
“For both little ghouls and full-on fright-seekers, this one-of-a-kind eerie experience isn’t to be missed!”
You can find the Big Wheel, which will be lit up in ominous orange for Halloween, outside the Great Hall. The ‘hallo-wheel’ themed-pods will be available to ride from 11am on October 26, with the added Halloween character experience taking place on Halloween itself.
There will be tons of other spooky goings-on across the centre over half-term and in the lead up to Halloween, including:
SEA LIFE’s ‘Ascarium’ adventure and Mermaid Scaretacular
SEA LIFE’s Aquarium is being transformed into an Ascarium from 12 October – 3 November. This immersive in-tank trail celebrates the creepiest creatures of the deep, coupled with spell casting with a sea witch and a trick or treat surprise!
On Halloween itself, spend the evening with mystical Mer-residents in an underwater playground, as you swim alongside a host of creatures including real-life mermaids and even a Sea Witch! Tickets for both events can be booked here.
Trick or Treat
This annual family event will take place on 24 and 31 October. Little trick or treaters are invited to pick up their free Halloween bucket from the customer services desk and scour the centre for treats. Sign up to the intu Trafford Centre Family Club to join in the frightening fun!
