Two of the biggest names in British combat sports, Tommy Fury and Darren Till, are set to lock horns as they meet in Manchester for a huge fight. Taking place at Co-op Live on January 18, Manchester’s newest arena for live entertainment including music and sporting events, the fight between Tommy Fury and Darren Till is part of the MF & DAZN: X Series 20.
In a thrilling battle of the unbeaten pro boxer from Manchester and the former UFC star, Fury and Till meet at Co-op Live, early in the New Year as Misfits Boxing comes flying out of the blocks for 2025. According to organisers, Fury vs. Till “promises to deliver one of the most intense build-ups in Misfits Boxing history” and serve up a fight, which will be live on DAZN PPV, that will go down in crossover boxing folklore as two huge stars from the world of boxing and MMA collide.
Fury returns to the ring for the first time since his win over KSI at the record-breaking Prime Card last year, while MMA hero Till takes on his biggest challenge yet since swapping the octagon for the squared circle. This coming week, the rivals will face off at a not-to-be-missed press conference.
Tommy Fury said: “It feels great to, finally, say that I am back! I have been out of the ring far too long, I’ve been getting itchy knuckles, and so I am thrilled to be able to announce my return. This is extra special as I am the A-side and headlining a massive event in my hometown and in front of my fans, at Co-op Live.
“Till had a good UFC career but he’s stepping into the boxing ring now, against a proper pro, and he will quickly realise that he is out of his depth, and this is not the game for him. I plan on dealing with Till in conclusive fashion and then chasing even bigger fights in 2025.”
Darren Till, on the other hand, said: “January 18 is my time, my night.”
Co-op Live made history earlier this year as it hosted its first sporting event in the form of the first European event of 2024 for UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), the world’s premier mixed martial arts organisation, known as UFC 304.
Tickets for this showdown go on pre-sale on Tuesday 19th November at 12pm, before general sale opens on Tuesday 19th November at 1pm.
