The Trafford Centre has gone all out with its entertainment this year. From the hit Summer Daze to Halloween’s Spookfest, there’s been tons of fun for the family to enjoy this year – and thankfully, it doesn’t end there as Tinsel Town is back for the festive season.
Sending the year out with a bang with the return of their festive event, guests are invited to enjoy a whole host of festive activities – including the return of their huge fairground rides for all ages to enjoy, a spectacular ice show, winter ice rink, and a very exciting Santa’s grotto. Visitors can also enjoy incredible views and festive magic this Christmas, as the big wheel returns to the Trafford Centre’s Tinsel Town – see all the glittering lights and sights from a staggering 55 metres high.
Taking place outside The Orient and opposite The Great Hall entrance, guests will be able to enjoy classic festive pastimes such as ice skating inside a twinkling rink. From November 17 to January 1, you can slide away under a sky full of twinkling lights whilst festive music transports skaters to a whimsical, festive haven.
The funfair returns from November 17 with even more thrilling, magical, and fun, where there are fantastic rides for the whole family to enjoy. From the exhilarating Snow Jets to the thrilling Starflyer and Don Sapo, as well as plenty of family friendly rides for the little ones, there’s something for everyone. Plus, a brand new fairground attraction for 2023 is VOID, which promises an unparalleled experience for thrill-seekers.
Discover an all-new Christmas production on real ice as a spectacular show in a heated theatre big top arrives at the Trafford Centre’s Tinsel Town. The SNOWSTORM 3 ice show from Gandeys, will be at the Trafford Centre from November 24 until January 1 and features 16 ice skaters, international circus stars, amazing special effects, and the return of the massive ice bears.
With 200sq metres of shimmering real ice for performers to soar above and glide upon, it’s the perfect festive experience to celebrate the season with family and friends. Seats start from just £11.99.
The Big Wheel is also back at Trafford Centre until January 7, where riders can enjoy all the glittering lights and sights whilst soaring above the ground at a staggering 55 metres high. Big Wheel tickets are £8 per adults, £6 per child (under 1.4m) and £24 for a family ticket, tickets can be purchased on the day at the Big Wheel.
Festive food and drinks will also be available including traditional bratwurst, Yorkshire pudding wraps, donuts, crêpes, mulled wine and even a chocolate fountain. Also returning is a magical Christmas Tree bar, crowned by a magnificent Christmas tree standing over 50ft tall – the perfect spot for a family selfie.
Tickets for ice skating and the fairground must be purchased separately, are available here. Ice skating tickets are £12.50 for adults and £10 for children off-peak / £15 for adults and £12.50 for children peak, for a 45-minute ice skating session. Fairground entry is only £2 if pre-booked online, or £2.50 on the day, with ride tokens available to purchase separately.
