Yesterday marked one year since England went into lockdown.
One whole year after England went into a nationwide lockdown for the first time ever, Brits took to their doorsteps to light up the night with candles in an act of remembrance. Reflecting on the 126,000 who have lost their lives as a result of the virus, a number of local landmarks also joined in on the sweet gesture, lighting up yellow as a mark of respect. The day of remembrance came as England prepares to exit its third national lockdown, which has seen Brits under strict ‘stay at home’ restrictions for three months.

Man City’s home the Etihad stadium also lit up last night in respect, however, using their signature blue colour instead.
