The Refuge Is Set To Sparkle This Christmas With Live Choirs, Festive Markets & Doggy Fancy Dress

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

And we are so on board. Decking the halls and fa-la-la-la-laaing their way into the festive period this November, The Refuge is set to receive quite the festive makeover – with tons of incredible events for Mancs to enjoy throughout the season.

Kicking off on the 12th November, the landmark restaurant – which resides at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel – will be hosting an epic season filled with wonderful events, with a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy.

Set to be a celebration of festive food and drink offerings, guests will be able to enjoy a number of festive, foodie delights, alongside an array of performances that are sure to get you in the spirit. Joining the festivities on launch night, guests will be able to watch a special performance by the Hallé Ancoats Community Choir, before witnessing a special appearance from a ‘local hero’ who’ll be marking the season’s first Town Crier visit.

Later in the season, there’ll also be fun activities such as a fancy dress competition for dogs, pet portrait session, and a fun festive wreath making workshop, where participants will be treated to cocktails and mince pies, alongside their very own wreath to take home and hang.

Other events will include a festive fair taking place on the terrace on the 5th and 12th December, where guests will be able to get their Christmas shopping done with the help of a variety of local traders. Currently confirmed to attend are Top of the Town Vintage, HollieGraphik, Deadstock General Store, Northern On The Run and Mariel Osborn – with Manchester Union Lager providing the craft beers for the occasion. There’ll also be an epic line-up of DJs carefully selected across the festive season, including Refuge residents, DJ Santa on 20th to 22nd December and many more to be announced.

Director of Operations at The Refuge, Tim Reynolds, said: “We are delighted to bring back A Refuge Christmas Carol. The team at Refuge have been working hard to put together a very special menu and programme of events right up until the end of the year – it’s set to be a magical affair.”

In the dining room, a bit of Christmas magic will be injected into the menu, including a special feasting menu that can be pre-booked from Monday to Saturday throughout December. The menu will feature the likes of herb and butter-roasted turkey breast with cranberry and apricot stuffing, goose fat roast potatoes, cranberry-glazed pigs in blankets and lots of festive veg. Feasting
menus are served sharing style and priced at £32.50 per person.
