What’s more zen than yoga? Harp yoga!
The Ivy in Manchester’s Spinningfields will host a morning yoga session followed by breakfast in the Ivy Brasserie.
Taking place in the restaurant’s beautiful Roof Garden, the yoga session will be led by Manchester yogi, Claudia Mirallegro, accompanied by acclaimed UK harpist, Alice Kirwan.
Guests of the restaurant will be invited to enjoy a 45-minute class, all set against a backdrop of leafy greenery and the striking surroundings of the Roof Garden, while Alice Kirwan plays a calming harp session to set a relaxing tone.
The yoga session will be suitable for all levels, with Claudia leading guests through a dynamic, vinyasa-based yoga class, focusing on movement, strength and spirit. Mats for the session will also be provided.
Breakfast will follow in the Ivy Brasserie and guests able to choose from a selection of sumptuous fresh juices and breakfast dishes, including eggs Benedict, dairy-free coconut yoghurt with berries, and crushed avocado on gluten-free toast.
Alice Kirwan is best known for her adventurous exploration of the harp, regularly working with many orchestras and ensembles, including the National Symphony Orchestra, and high-profile artists such as Alfie Boe, Joe Duddell, and Palace.
An avid performer of contemporary repertoire, Alice is passionate about showing the versatility of the harp to new audiences.
The harp yoga session will begin at 7.45am, with yoga on the Roof Garden, followed by breakfast in the Ivy Brasserie, finishing at 9.15am.
Tickets are priced at £30 per person and can be purchased here. The Ivy Spinningfields will host dedicated yoga breakfasts throughout the year.
