Just when we thought we’d seen (and eaten) it all, The Botanist has pulled out the stops for Christmas 2022, revamping their beloved menu with a Christmassy twist. Bringing the flavours of the season to an array of dishes that feature on the well-known restaurant’s menu all year round, guests can indulge in some seriously warming dishes – without having to wait til the Big Man tumbles down the chimney to do so.
Boasting a hanging turkey kebab with a cranberry and orange glaze plus all the trimmings, of course, The Botanist aims to wow this season – with plenty of festive dishes on the menu to enjoy. From pigs in blankets starters to huge festive sharing boards packed with party favourites, guests won’t be disappointed by the diversity on offer this year.
Hanging kebab enthusiasts can also now make it a group experience, with a new sharing option which includes a chicken, a crispy halloumi and a lamb kofta kebab on a triple-skewer rack, served with properly seasoned fries, coleslaw, houmous and flatbread, perfect for three diners to tuck into.
Another showstopping main dish is the turkey and camembert burger with maple glazed bacon and cranberry sauce. The best bit? It comes with a giant pig in blanket sat on top of it. There’s also a sharing baked truffle camembert fondue (yes, you read that right) which comes served with honey mustard glazed ham, crispy porcini gnocchi, roast potatoes and bread croutons to dip into it.
TikTok fans will want to run, not walk, to The Botanist as it launches its own take on the viral ‘butter board’ trend, with whipped goats cheese butter decoratively spread onto a sharing board, topped with onion, radish, prosciutto and dill, served with fresh warm nduja honey bread. The trend has surpassed over 380 million views on the social media platform, as foodies try out different combinations of the aesthetically pleasing dish, so we expect this to be a popular one!
Revamping the brand’s popular ‘hot boards’, guests will be able to tuck into tater tot poutine, turkey koftas, Cumberland scotch egg, mussels in fragrant curry sauce and mac ‘n’ cheese. The vegan option includes bang bang cauliflower, superfood salad, sweet potato houmous, crispy porcini gnocchi with truffle mustard mayo and roasted tomato soup.
For those with a sweet tooth, the restaurant’s signature cookie dough has had a seasonal update too, with new After Eight and Celebrations options. The white chocolate and peanut mousse is guaranteed to make your mouth water and it comes served in a gardening trowel, in keeping with the venue’s botany-inspired interiors.
